Five youths from YES took part in youth exchange under project Videmocracy

Five young people from the Youth European Society participated in a youth exchange on the Videmocracy project in Dojran, Northern Macedonia between 22 and 30 August 2019.

The main purpose of youth exchange was to make young people aware of democracy, civil society and the various ways in which democracy can be portrayed – through simulations, videos, pictures, games, etc. The methods used have given and will enable young people in the future to develop their capacity and critical thinking in the society in which they live. The participants were from Albania (host), Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Northern Macedonia, Serbia and Turkey.

Throughout the training day, young people had the opportunity to share their ideas, which were related to the theme of the project, as well as many that related to their future development as regards the better development of democracy in each country. Last but not least – the Bulgarian young people managed to create numerous multinational friendships and enriched their multicultural knowledge.

The project is co-financed by the European Commission Erasmus+ programme.

Youth Exchange – Stip

Youth Exchange under project “Be the change – empowered citizens, empowered communities” will bring together 50 young people from 10 different European countries.  In the exchange we aim to explore the three interrelated aspects of citizenship: status, rights and responsibilities combined with four dimensions of citizenship: political, social, economic and cultural. We all share the same values as Europeans and all should be responsible as citizens for constructing a democratic society and for the present and the future development of Europe where everyone dignity and rights should be respected.
